The minotaur was a hybrid of a bull and a man in the land of Crete.
Minos, the king, kept him locked in the labyrinth designed by Daedalus, an inventor and architect. Theseus, the hero of this story, killed the minotaur and escaped the Labyrinth by using a ball of string to keep his path.
