from the greek mythology series

After extending hospitality to Silenus, a lost satyr, King Midas returned him to the god Dionysus
and was rewarded with a wish. He chose thoughtlessly, impulsively wishing for everything he touched to be turned to gold. Initially delighted, his folly became apparent when he tried to eat and drink. After accidentally turning his daughter into gold he begged for the curse to be taken away. Dionysus showed King Midas mercy, instructing him to wash in the Pactolus river. As he touched the water the power of his wish flowed into the river.
